Help Wanted: Research Intern + Graphic Design

We're looking for two extra people to help us in the studio. One graphic designer and one amazing intern. Read on if you're interested.

We'll review candidates work/portfolios and letters once a week and get back to you the following week. Please respect that we're a small studio, very busy and cannot welcome you in person or by phone.

This is for an in-house position. So please make sure you're happy to come across the bridge, or take the ferry if you're not already North Bay bound.

Junior to Mid-level graphic designer

Our Sausalito based studio is looking for a Junior to mid-level graphic designer. You should have four to six years experience in printed graphic design, as well as environments design and some digital visual design. You likely are extremely comfortable in multidisciplinary teams, have the ability to work across a wide variety of projects, and be confident working on identity development, to books, to packaging and environment design work.

We're particularly interested in meeting with you if you care about storytelling, the visual narrative and are able to think in systems. We're going to be enthusiastic about meeting you if you're as fanatical about the handmade craft of design as you are in helping client organizations create simplicity out of their complex worlds. And we're going to be falling over ourselves to want to work with you if you have experience in facilitating or being part of working sessions with clients and teams around brand and organizational transformation.

You'll be able to show how you excel in visual design capabilities, prototyping skills, communication skills and be able to discuss your experience in successfully working in teams.

An amazing Research Intern

Here in Sausalito, we're looking for one of those interns we talk about for the next ten years, comparing every future incoming person to them.

The research intern we're looking for would be a super-creative, highly collaborative, hardworking individual. We're interested if you've had experience in secondary research, creating research briefs and presenting findings to teams or clients.

You'll be unbelievable at hunting down a particular piece of material. We want to meet you if you're the type of person who doesn't stop at looking at a photo, but tries to make out what's been written on a post-it that is in the photo. We're going to be excited about meeting you, if you're the kind of tenacious bloodhound who doesn't stop until they've gotten that much-wanted piece of information.

The successful intern candidate would be an excellent writer, communicator and have a great deal of empathy for design. It would help tremendously if you were able to show previous experience of how your research contributed to projects, or how you were able to synthesize your work into insights.
